This class vessel was the very first Drakh ship encountered by the Interstellar Alliance, back in 2261. The first encounter took place near Minbari space when Ambassador Delenn chanced upon them during a mission to Minbar.* The Whitestar fleet faced down and destroyed the Drakh Carrier and her Raiders after the Drakh opened fire. Apparently this carrier had attacked ships near Minbari space and was attempting to use the unstable political situation on Minbar to gain a foothold in Minbari territory.

Since that first violent encounter it has been a rarity for these vessels to be seen, although there have been some rumored sightings near Centauri space.  No tactical information on this vessel is available, though it should be noted that a single Minbari Whitestar succeeded in destroying a ship of this class.

The Drakh Carrier should not be confused with the Drakh Cruiser. While both ships are similar in size, the Drakh Cruiser is only a little more than three kilometers in length*, while the massive Drakh Carrier clocks in at over 14 kilometers in length*, this vessel appears to be fairly light in the way of armor and has no discernible weapons. It would appear that the Drakh Carrier's primary means of defense is its squadron of 40 Drakh Raiders, which it carries into the battlefield like a fighter squadron.
